ARGH! I am so tired of rebooting my HugesNet modem!

Do you have HughesNet?  If so, you're used to seeing this:

hughesnet, error, isp, satellite

Or maybe your system status is yellow and your "turbopage" is down.

Yes, when it's working, HughesNet is much better than dial-up.  But it's not working with the regularity one would expect for $60 per month.  And when you call customer service, you're put on hold for a long time before being allowed to speak with someone with limited English skills who tells you to re-boot your modem.  Again.  And again and again and again.

Why???
