Calling the Cable Company

I've frequently advocated for the senior executives and boards of directors to be required to use their companies' websites and toll-free numbers.

Welcome to the Cantankerous Consumer

I've been a customer for nearly all of my fifty years, and it's my habit to report experiences that deviate from expectations to the companies from whom I purchase goods and services. If I am extremely satisfied with my purchase or the service I receive, I do not hesitate to give them a positive review. At the same time, if they fail to meet expectations, by delivering poor service or an inadequate product, I make sure they're aware of that too.

The relationship companies foster with their customers is one key to their success or failure. A website or toll-free number that permits consumer complaints or reports, is the first step to demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.

The purpose of this blog is to share the consumer experience - either my own or those I find on the web - with you, my visitor. Many of my posts will be about communications I've had with companies, along with their responses. I try to maintain a sense of humor about the interactions, even if customer satisfaction eludes me.
